CMG/Regal HGA/Marathon Series
HGA Series general purpose three phase motor are high efficient, enhanced performance motors. These motors offer low temperature rise and excellent electrical characteristics, with the robust strength of cast iron.
Efficiency
HGA motor efficiency levels comply to the Minimum Efficiency Requirements as per AS/NZS 1359.5:2004 (equivalent to European Standard Eff 1).
Standards and Specifications
The main dimensions and rated outputs of the HGA series generally conform to International Standards IEC 60034 and IEC 60072, and Australian Standard AS1359.
Operating Parameters
Standard HGA series motors are designed with the following parameters:
- Continuous duty (S1).
- Three phase 380-420V, 50Hz power supply
(up to 3kW: 230V Delta/400V Star, 4kW & above: 400V Delta/690V Star). - Ambient temperatures up to 40°C.
- Installation at altitudes up to 1000 metres.
Performance data is based on these parameters and may need adjustment for different requirements.
F class insulation, B class temperature rise
HGA motors have F class insulation and B class temperature rise, ensuring cool running of the motor.
Degree of Protection
Level of enclosure protection for the HGA series is IP55 (increased IP ratings available).
Bearings
Frames 80-180 have deep groove ball type bearings with double seals and are the same size both ends. Larger frames have open type bearing allowing for re-greasing.
Terminal Box
The standard position of the terminal box for the HGA series is on RHS of the motor looking from the drive end. Motors with top mount terminal boxes may be available on request.
