Ventilation

Ventilating a plant or an Electrical cabinet to cool down or heat up can be done by means of extraction or induction fans.

Keeping dust out of electrical panels is vital to ensure optimal and long living operation of electrical equipment inside the cabinet.

Electrical Cabinet pressurization

Pressurization is a method of protection that allows non-hazardous enclosures and equipment to be located in hazardous areas. It uses air or an inert gas to keep a positive pressure within the enclosure and prevent hazardous gases or combustible dust from entering.

Pressurized plantrooms

The application of positive or negative air pressure in a room to prevent dust entry is known as pressurization. Positive pressure (also known as “inflating the building”) keeps particle and gaseous pollutants out of a space by forming an air barrier between the interior and outside.

Dust extraction and plant air filtration systems

Dust extraction systems are designed to capture and remove particulate matter directly at the source. In contrast, air filtration systems focus on removing dispersed airborne contaminants.

Axial fans

An axial fan has a motor-driven rotating shaft (axis) on which are mounted skewed blades that pull air in and force it out in a direction parallel to the shaft.

Radial Fans

Radial fans don’t pull air parallel to the axis as axial fans do. Instead, they move air from the center, radially — hence their name. To create the air, radial fans first pull it into the fan.

V-belt driven systems

In a belt-driven configuration, the motor exists independently of the fan blades and at least one belt – sometimes more – connects the motor to the fan’s moving parts.

Direct drive systems

In a direct drive configuration, the fan motor that controls the movement of the fan blades is connected either to a shaft or fan axle. Thus, the fan blades will rotate at the same speed as the motor rotates.
